The CCG will be at the ITS European Congress 2019, which occurs from 3 to 6 June. The event takes place at the Evoluoan Congress Center in Brainport, Eindhoven, The Netherlands.

At this year’s event, CCG – Centro de Computação Gráfica will host a presentation and participate in a 5G workshop related to the 5G-MOBIX project.

On June 4 the UMC – Urban and Mobile Computing applied research domain of the CCG, by its development coordinator João Moutinho, will present the 5G-MOBIX project and provide an overview of use cases in the Portugal-Spain cross-border corridor.
This is an opportunity to find out how the 5G-MOBIX project is shaping the future of connected and automated mobility across borders.
The “5G-MOBIX – Automated mobility across borders” presentation is held from 16h20 to 16h50, on SAFE STRIP, stand 2.1 of the Exhibition Area.
Workshop 5G Deployment for Automated Mobility
“5G deployment for Automated Mobility” workshop is scheduled for June 5, between 13h30 and 17h00, in ERTICO’s room ground floor.
This workshop will bring about an exchange of views on the vehicle and roadside infrastructure needs for CCAM using 5G.
The discussion will focus on the vehicle and roadside infrastructure needs and cellular network requirements for deploying 5G technologies and architectures to run trials on national and the cross-border corridors.
Interactive panel discussions will provide insights into the 5G technologies for CCAM, the envisioned business models as well as state-of-the-art results from the 5G-PPP projects, in particular, the three 5G for CCAM Innovation Actions (5G-MOBIX, 5G-CROCO, 5G-CARMEN) in the context of cross-border testing.
