The HeritageCARE project aims to implement an integrated and sustainable methodology for the preventive conservation and maintenance of the historical and cultural heritage built in Portugal, Spain, and France. The aim is to create a non-profit, self-sustaining entity that guarantees the supervision of compliance with the methodology and the sustainability of results beyond the project.
The CCG, within the scope of the project, contributes to the three domains of Applied Research, CVIG, EPMQ and UMC, namely:
i) the development of an immersive reality tool to support historical and cultural building inspections;
ii) the development of the system information to support the inspection;
(iii) the development of a mobile application (tablet and smartphone) for collecting inspection statuses, specifically on the identification and characterization of the damage, with support for offline operation and synchronization with the project platform.
A reference project for the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018, according to the Directorate General for Education and Culture (EC DG EAC) - the executive branch of the European Commission responsible for education, culture, youth, languages, and sports policy.
