Senior Inclusive: inclusive technology for the senior population

The Senior Inclusive project was highlighted in RTP3.

Nelson Alves, CCG researcher, from the CVIG applied research domain, explained succinctly to RTP3 in which consists the participation of the CCG in this project that focuses on the elderly population.

In the contribution of the CCG stands out the creation of a virtual assistant, in the form of an avatar with a human appearance, to create greater empathy with people using this solution. This avatar can read emails and obey user commands, such as orders to make phone calls, for example.

The CCG is also developing a system based on computer vision that allows the recognition of medicines through photographs, facilitating the taking of medicines by the elderly.
