Competition is open for the award of an Employment Contract for the position of Development Technician reporting directly to the Coordinator of the HTIR Department: Human-Technology Interaction and Robotics, under the following conditions:

SCIENTIFIC AREA: Psychology, or similar.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must preferably have a Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferred) in the areas of Psychology, Ergonomics or similar areas.

Priority will be given to candidates with experience in one (or more) of the following areas:

  • Human Factors;
  • User-centered design;
  • Human-machine interaction;
  • Multimodal perception and interaction.

 

Furthermore, the candidate must demonstrate:

  • Orientation to results (orientation towards achievement, concern for the organization, quality and rigor and capacity for initiative);
  • Capacity to influence (organizational knowledge, interpersonal understanding, building relationships);
  • Personal effectiveness (flexibility, self-confidence, self-control and commitment to the organization);
  • Communication capacity;
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking;
  • Mastery of the English language.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The selected candidate will develop research and development activities within the scope of the Produtech R3 project, which aims to develop a robotic platform for moving loads in an industrial environment. The candidate's tasks will relate to:

  • Survey of the state of the art regarding: human factors associated with remote control and semi-autonomous control of remote agents;
  • Human-machine interaction analysis methods; Multimodal interaction (visual/auditory);
  • Participation in the definition of technical requirements of the system; - Participation in the design of control and interaction interfaces; - Carrying out user tests;
  • Scientific writing.

 

WORKPLACE

In-person work is carried out at the CCG/ZGDV Institute, Campus de Azurém, Guimarães, under a hybrid/flexible work regime.

 

CONTRACT DURATION

The contract will last 12 months, starting in March 2024, with the possibility of being extended.

 

MONTHLY PAYMENT AMOUNT

The salary amount will be defined depending on the candidate's academic background and experience presented.
