Assistant Professor in the Department of Informatics at the University of Minho, he is a member of the Computer Networks and Communications group and the ALGORITMI Centre (CCPM/CCN). He has a master's degree and a doctorate in computer science from the same institution. He has extensive research experience, with more than a dozen articles published in areas such as: Communications, Vehicular Networks, IoT, quality of service and the Internet of the Future. He has coordinated and participated in various European and industrial projects and has supervised several doctoral and master's students. He has served as director of the Integrated Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering and Computer Science and has held academic management positions. He is researching vehicular networks, V2X, IoT, and new architectures for the future Internet.
