He works in software engineering on architectures for smart cities, cloud computing, analytics, IoT, interoperability, industrial processes, digital twins and maturity and readiness models for cities and industry, which are the central theme of his PhD. Author of scientific publications and book chapters, he participates in strategies for industry and smart cities. He is a visiting professor at UMinho and an adjunct professor at IEES.
