The Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education (MCTES), in cooperation with the National Innovation Agency (ANI), the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and the European Commission (EC), organized the "Tour des Capitales" , a European-wide event about valuing knowledge. Two days in which representatives from higher education institutions, industry, intermediary organizations and decision-makers came together to discuss the challenges and opportunities in valuing knowledge and explore collaborative actions and initiatives to address them.

The development of innovative solutions for the valorization of knowledge in Higher Education Institutions and the establishment of a network of those interested in the valorization of knowledge were highlighted. The program also included workshops and breakout sessions to share experiences between representatives from academia, industry and international institutions on the different mechanisms for valuing knowledge, fundamental to accelerating the adoption of innovative solutions, developing new technologies, products and services and leverage competitiveness and impact on the economy and society.
