CCG/ZGDV discuss the future of Artificial Intelligence in light of the new European regulation
23 May, 2025

At a time when Artificial Intelligence (AI) is asserting itself as one of the most transformative technologies of our era and as the implementation of the new European AI Regulation approaches, this event aims to clarify the legal, ethical, and technological implications that this new legislation will bring for companies, researchers, and citizens.

The panel of speakers will include Paulo Cortez (CCG/ZGDV – University of Minho), André Pilastri (CCG/ZGDV), João de Araújo Ferraz (VdA – Vieira de Almeida), and Marta Santos Silva (JusGov – Research Centre for Justice and Governance), all experts in their respective fields, who will offer interdisciplinary perspectives on the challenges of regulation and the opportunities it presents for responsible innovation within the European AI ecosystem.

The event presents a unique opportunity to understand the new legal frameworks for AI, explore compliance mechanisms, assess the risks associated with different levels of technology use, and reflect on the balance between innovation and the protection of fundamental rights.

Participation is free of charge upon prior registration. You may register here.
