17 October, 2025

The CCG/ZGDV Institute and the Viana do Castelo Polytechnic Institute (IPVC) have signed a cooperation agreement that reinforces both institutions' commitment to promoting innovation, knowledge transfer, and the connection between higher education and the business sector.

This agreement establishes the foundation for a structured and lasting collaboration, aligned with the CCG/ZGDV's strategy of creating strong partnerships with higher education institutions. The goal is to foster synergies that contribute to skills development, scientific and technological development, and the economic dynamism of society.

The cooperation between the two entities will enable the development of joint research and innovation projects, as well as the implementation of curricular and professional internships, the supervision of master's and doctoral theses, and the promotion of technical and scientific training initiatives aimed at students and professionals. This partnership thus represents an opportunity to bring academia and industry closer together, fostering a stronger and more collaborative innovation ecosystem.

For the CCG/ZGDV, this agreement represents a strategic step in strengthening its mission as a Technology and Innovation Center, contributing to the transformation of scientific knowledge into applied solutions with a real impact on society. For the IPVC, this protocol represents an opportunity to deepen its relationship with the business and technology sectors, preparing its students for the challenges of the job market and stimulating innovation through applied research.

With this collaboration, both institutions reaffirm their shared commitment to promoting scientific and technological excellence, sustainable development, and the creation of value for society and the Portuguese economy.
