CCG/ZGDV joins new association to foster industrial innovation in the Tâmega e Sousa region

The CCG/ZGDV Institute is a founding member of the newly established TDII – Centre for Digital Transition and Industrial Innovation Association, an initiative aimed at creating a new Technology and Innovation Centre to be based at the Fábrica de Moagem facilities in Rio de Galinhas, Marco de Canaveses.

The association was formally established on 30 March, bringing together a wide range of organisations from the scientific and technological system, as well as companies and regional stakeholders. The creation of TDII represents a significant step towards strengthening the innovation ecosystem in the Tâmega e Sousa region, with a focus on digital transition and industrial innovation.

As a founding member, CCG/ZGDV will play an active role in shaping and developing this new innovation hub, contributing its expertise in areas such as artificial intelligence, computer vision, human-machine interaction and advanced digital systems.

CCG/ZGDV’s involvement reinforces its mission as a Technology and Innovation Centre, promoting the connection between applied research and industrial needs, and supporting effective knowledge transfer to the business sector.

Through its contribution, the Institute will support the development of technological solutions aimed at industrial modernisation, process efficiency and the competitiveness of regional companies. This collaboration will also enhance technological capacity and the adoption of innovative practices across local organisations.

The integration into TDII represents a significant contribution by CCG/ZGDV to the economic and technological development of the region, consolidating its role as a key player in digital transformation and industrial innovation at a regional level.
