XR-GRIT Showcased at the European MASTER Project Final Event

16 June, 2026

CCG/ZGDV participated in the European MASTER project held on 9 June in Oldenburg, Germany. The event brought together partners, stakeholders, and experts from across Europe to present key results from more than three and a half years of research, technological development, and collaboration in Extended Reality (XR)-based industrial training.

During the event, CCG/ZGDV, represented by Eduardo Santos, together with Francisco Silva from CTCV – Centre for Technology and Innovation, presented the XR-GRIT project, an innovative initiative to develop a gamified, immersive robotics training solution tailored to the ceramics, glass, and stone sectors.

Within the project, CCG/ZGDV plays a central role in developing the gamification framework, creating XR training scenarios, and integrating the solution into the VIROO platform. The goal is to provide more engaging, effective, and industry-oriented learning experiences that help upskill and empower workers in increasingly digitalised industrial environments.

Among the project's key achievements are the development of an immersive robotics training course, the creation of three complete XR training scenarios, and the demonstration of the positive impact of immersive technologies on industrial training and skills development.

Participation in the MASTER final event provided an opportunity to share results, exchange knowledge with European partners, and reinforce the role of immersive technologies as strategic tools for the digital transformation of industry.

Projects such as XR-GRIT demonstrate the potential of Extended Reality technologies to modernise training processes, improve learning effectiveness, and prepare professionals for the challenges of the future industry.
