CCG/ZGDV joins the GAPI and PATLIB networks to strengthen support for the protection and promotion of knowledge

24 October, 2026

CCG/ZGDV, through its Knowledge and Technology Transfer (KTT) team, has joined the national network of Offices for the Promotion of Industrial Property (GAPI) and the European PATLIB network, thereby strengthening its capacity to support businesses, researchers and entrepreneurs in protecting knowledge and capitalising on innovation.

Membership of the GAPI network, formalised through a cooperation agreement, reinforces the CCG/ZGDV’s commitment to promoting industrial property. This network, coordinated by the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI), provides information and support to organisations, helping raise awareness of the protection and management of assets such as trade marks, patents, and designs.

At the same time, the CCG/ZGDV has joined the PATLIB network, supported by the European Patent Office (EPO). This European network of patent information centres facilitates access to specialist knowledge in intellectual property and supports technology transfer, bringing these resources within reach of businesses, researchers, entrepreneurs, students, and inventors.

Participation in PATLIB enhances access to patent information and to resources that support the development of intellectual property strategies and the commercialisation of research results. The network also promotes training and awareness-raising in these areas through workshops and sessions dedicated to intellectual property.

By joining these two networks, the CCG/ZGDV strengthens the link between research and the market, helping organisations identify, protect, and capitalise on the knowledge they develop.
