The largest annual event in the area of science and technology in Portugal, took place between the 5th and 7th of July, at the Santiago University Campus, in Aveiro, with the main theme: “Science and the Ocean Beyond the Horizon”.

For the first time outside of Lisbon, the “Encontro Ciência” had the active participation of the technological and scientific community, for thematic sessions on the circular and sustainable blue economy, biotechnology, renewable energies, and demonstrations of R&D activities, of the best in this area in Portugal.

CCG/ZGDV was present with the ADM.IN project, where it demonstrated advanced artificial intelligence, digital twin, augmented and mixed reality technologies. The primary objective of this project is to develop innovative tools to support decision-making, with a view to intelligent management of the production process and maintenance of equipment at the company Sonae Arauco, directly contributing to increasing its production availability, quality and product value.

Promoted by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) in collaboration with the National Agency for Scientific and Technological Culture - Ciência Viva and, this year, also with the University of Aveiro, the “Encontro Ciência” has the institutional support of the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education and of the Parliamentary Committee on Education, Science, Youth and Sports.
