Ricardo J. Machado, Executive Chairman & Scientific Director of CCG/ZGDV Institute, attended the Smart Cities Portugal event, organised by Porto Digital and Ubiwhere in partnership with JN and TSF. The event took place at Porto Business School and brought together experts to discuss the future of smart cities. 

Participating in the thematic panel "Urban Platforms, Present and Future," Ricardo J. Machado shared the discussion with Mário Camporlargo, José Esteves, and Nuno Ribeiro, moderated by Paulo Calçada. During the debate, the main trends and challenges of smart cities were addressed, emphasising the importance of digitalisation, energy efficiency, and the integration of technological platforms in urban management.
