FRAMEWORK

The ITEC Smart Automation I4.0 project aims to develop technological solutions that will translate into the creation of value in ITEC products, responding to the challenges of Industry 4.0 and the growing demands of the automotive sector, with knowledge and skills generated in Portugal.

The R&DT co-promotion project – Clube Suppliers Bosch – ITEC Smart Automation I4 aims to research and develop new technological solutions for transversal incorporation into ITEC products made available to the market in the areas of Robotics, Industrial Automation and Quality Control Systems.

PROPOSED SOLUTIONS

Develop R&DT solutions for transversal incorporation into ITEC products, which will provide ITEC with technological solutions, skills and specialized internal knowledge in the areas of intervention of this project that will be reflected in highly innovative and competitive products for the global market in its business areas.

  • Automatic visual inspection:

New system for vision, optics and automatic inspection, equipped with computer vision algorithms and Artificial Intelligence (AI), which resolves the limitations found in current systems related to visual inspection carried out by humans. The system must characterize and solve several tasks, critical for ITEC, and contain functionalities such as traceability of the process inspected by the vision system, the collection of statistics in the inspection system and, also, the ability to debug the operation of the system on the line assembly in order to determine which method failed to detect the defect in a product.

  •  Smart machines:

Smart Machine Systems, which enable ITEC equipment to be equipped with monitoring, self-diagnosis and self-adjustment mechanisms, particularly for defects related to dispensing systems (fluids) and screwdriving machine failures (wiring).

  • Systematized software development processes:

New life cycle and quality management process for software products - providing the company with a systematized software development process with standardization of base software development activities (system specification, implementation, testing, version control, etc. ) and guarantee the robustness of the software developed through software quality verification and validation features.

CCG/ZGDV CONTRIBUTION

CCG/ZGDV contributes to the project, through the CVIG and EPMQ departments

  • Development of a new life cycle and quality management process for ITEC software products

This process involves systematizing, standardizing, and defining software development activities, such as system specification, implementation, testing, and version control, and ensuring the robustness of the developed software through systematic quality control.

The result will allow the ITEC company to develop software solutions with greater efficiency, maturity, quality, robustness, and reduced time-to-market.
